Speaker info &

Speaker rider

I have created this page to outline topics I am an expert at (& would love to speak at your conference/event/classroom about) as well as to outline boundaries around my engagement.

The topics below can be structured as a conference presentation (minimum 30 minutes), or in a workshop format (3 hours).

Speaking topics

  • Growing an email list

The key to growing any email list that will deliver ROI is to do so authentically. In this example, Naomi will go through best practices of data collection, opt-ins, and what the first touch points should include to ensure your email list delivers returns that matter.

  • A/B Testing

Not sure how to effectively use A/B testing to impact your business? Email A/B testing doesn’t have to be nested in a silo — your learning can impact other teams within your organization. In this talk I’ll walk through my framework, with examples and insights you can take back to your team.

  • Email accessibility

Odds are, you’re leaving out 10% of your email subscriber base because of inaccessible emails. In this talk, Naomi will walkthrough the top 10 issues that are often presented in email campaigns, and how marketers can be empowered to fix them.

  • Lifecycle Programs

Curious about how to build a lifecycle marketing strategy? I will lead you through how to flesh out a full user lifecycle and build out communication (with examples) in line with key moments spanning between Activation, Monetization, and Retention.

  • SaaS

Software as a service. Boring? Think again. SaaS normally sits in the B2B space, which can often be thought of as boring, difficult to deliver to, and heavily tied to a sales team. Naomi will walk through how brands can wow subscribers with various human techniques instead of putting them to sleep.

  • Empathy

How many times have you heard "we should be sending more emails!" After all, high frequency is the best way to keep your customers engaged, right? Maybe not. You'll learn how to demonstrate true empathy for your readers, and how to find that sweet spot between inbox space and providing value to get higher engagement rates in the long run.

  • Multi-channel messaging

How do you best create a lifecycle program that leans on email, in-app, push notifications, and SMS to create a cohesive lifecycle program? In this talk, Naomi will walkthrough the key differentiators of channels, and where they are best utilized depending on various audience personas.

  • Personalizing with data

Messy data — one mans trash is another mans treasure. By organizing and looking at available customer data you can craft a well-rounded email program that surprises and delights.

  • ✈️ Travel

Airfare and local transportation to the conference (unless lodging is within walking distance).

During heavier speaking months, I sometimes will provide heavy cost-savings to conference organizers as I'm already on the continent the conference is on.

  • 🏡 Lodging

U.S. or Canadian conferences: For the full length of the conference.

International conferences (outside of U.S or Canada.): One (1) full day of lodging before the conference + length of conference/workshops (if I'm participating) + evening that I speak.

  • 💰 Speaker honorarium

For-profit conferences, I ask for 1,000-2,000USD depending on ticket costs and conference accessibility and value.

For not-for-profit/community conferences where tickets are free/very low-priced, I will heavily discount or waive my fee depending on similar criteria above.

For internal/private speaking events, I ask for 2,000-10,000USD depending on audience size, how my recorded talk will be used/distributed (private v. public), revenue/philanthropy of your company, the length and nature of the engagement (Q&A, talk + Q&A, workshop, etc).

  • 🎟️ Ticket

I would think this is a given, but I’d love to attend the event and mingle with other attendees! This usually provides a great experience to chat, answer questions, and further any discussion.
